BATON ROUGE- Two men were found shot to death in a parking lot on Elm Grove Garden Drive last week.

On May 13 around 11:45 p.m., BRPD responded to a shooting at an apartment complex. At the scene, officers found two male victims inside a vehicle suffering from apparent gunshot injuries.

The men have been identified as 32-year-old Kendrick Dixon and 34-year-old Henry Carr.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

According to BRPD, further investigation revealed that 36-year-old James Johnson was at the scene when he observed Dixon shoot Carr during an alleged robbery. Officials say Johnson then chased after Dixon, and the two men exchanged multiple gunshots. Johnson fired several shots into a vehicle, striking Dixon several times.

Police say tips into Crime Stoppers led to the arrest of Johnson. He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison and charged with second-degree murder.
