DUTCHTOWN - Sheriff's deputies released home surveillance video of three vandals who destroyed a number of Christmas displays in Ascension Parish this weekend.

Deputies said 19 homes' light displays were destroyed in the Old Dutchtown subdivision Saturday night. One home raising money with their display for the St. Jude Children's hospital had $10,000 in damage, the other 18 homes also had a combined $10,000 in damage.

The video showed three white males damaging the decorations in one person's yard. Witnesses also told deputies there were two vehicles believed to have been involved in the vandalism, both driven by white males in their teens or early 20s. The first is a dark-colored, newer-model GMC or Chevy pickup, the second is a small green or teal SUV with an LSU block letter sticker on the rear glass.

Sheriff Jeff Wiley is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest of the persons responsible for the vandalism.

Anyone with information should contact the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office at 225-621-INFO (4636).
