Surplus auction revenue tops $1 million for BR
BATON ROUGE - City-parish government in Baton Rouge has hit the million dollar mark in selling off surplus items online.
Over the past 18 months the city-parish has sold vehicles, electronics, office equipment and much more for $1,168,290.42 in non-tax revenue.
The online surplus auctions started last Spring on Municibid.com.
Their current online auction started on September 16th and ends today. There are two dozen items for sale in this auction, including 9 lots of bicycles, 5 lawn mowers, and multiple makes and models of scooters, dirt bikes and motorcycles.
