Surgeons working to reduce pressure on Randy Travis' brain
PLANO- Singer Randy Travis is in surgery after suffering a stroke at a Texas hospital his publicist said late Tuesday.
Doctors are trying to relieve pressure on his brain.
Travis has been in critical condition since being admitted to the hospital for congestive heart failure due to a viral illness.
The viral illness led to a weakened heart muscle that eventually worsened into heart failure.
Travis was in good health until three weeks before he was hospitalized, when he contracted the infection.
