A white student who was denied a spot at the flagship campus of the University of Texas is going to have her appeal heard by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Lawyers for the University of Texas said Abigail Fisher she has no standing to sue.
Fisher is soon to graduate from LSU.
It's the first time the court will deal with affirmative action in higher education since its decision in 2003 that endorsed the use of race as a factor in admissions.
