The director of maintenance at West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital has been arrested on charges of illegally disposing hazardous waste.

The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality says Garry Lee Glass allegedly ordered his subordinates to dispose of a hazardous material into a storm drain.

DEQ says the violations are felony charges.

If convicted, Glass faces jail time of up to 10 years and fines of up to $100,000.
