BATON ROUGE - A train collided with a sugar cane farmer's tractor in Iberville Parish Thursday, according to the sheriff's office.

Sheriff Brett Stassi said nobody was hurt in the collision.

The collision happened on Catherine Road at LA 1 just after 1 p.m. according to the sheriff's office.

Stassi said the impact knocked the tractor off into a nearby ditch. He said a second tractor at the crossing safely made it out of the train's path.
