SU's marching band in Jonas Brothers' video
BATON ROUGE - Southern University's Marching Band continues to grow its brand, being featured on the Jonas Brothers' new single, "Pom Poms," and in the accompanying video.
The video premiered Tuesday. It's the Jonas Brothers' first video shot together in nearly four years.
The video, shot over 10 hours Feb. 16 on a high school football field in St. John Parish, opens with SU drum major Kelan Norman blowing his whistle as he would at any of the band's halftime shows.
The band, nicknamed "The Human Jukebox," also closes the video with one of the band's patented dance steps.
The past 18 months have been a whirlwind for the band and the Dancing Dolls, who performed with Madonna during halftime of the 2012 Super Bowl and during the 2013 Super Bowl's pregame show.
