WBRZ - Baton Rouge

Fourth graders from 5th Ward Elementary School in St. James Parish encouraged and tried to inspire cancer patients in Baton Rouge.

They sang Michael Jackson's "Keep the Faith" Tuesday at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center.

It's part of the school's "Man in the Mirror" project.

Each class had to come up way to help the community and the fourth graders chose to make cards and other treats for the patients, in addition to singing for them.

The project will continue throughout the school year.
