OPELOUSAS, La.- Police are investigating a stabbing at Opelousas High School.
Police Chief Perry Gallow says the student was stabbed inside a school
bathroom shortly before classes began Monday.
Gallow says the victim was transported to Opelousas General Hospital after he was stabbed twice in the abdomen and once in the leg.
He is in stable condition and his injuries don't appear to be life threatening.
Gallow says police have two suspects in custody.
He says the knife allegedly used in the stabbing has been recovered.
He says the two suspects, brothers, are both under 17 and apparently fought with the victim in a bathroom shortly after the three exited their school bus.
