LSU Police are trying to figure out what happened to a male student who fell from the roof of a building on campus. It happened around 10:30 a.m.

The student was on the roof of the Life Sciences Building, which is six stories high. Police do not know if he fell or jumped from the roof, but they are treating it as a crime scene.

The man was alive but seriously injured. He was transported to Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center.

LSU Police spokesman Blake Tabor said the student's identity was being withheld until his family could be notified.
