Student carjacked in Uptown New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS – A Tulane University student was carjacked early Tuesday morning in Uptown New Orleans.

WWL reports, WBRZ's sister station, that the student was driving her vehicle and stopped at the intersection of Nashville and Claiborne avenues when a car bumped her vehicle from behind.

When the student got out to check the damage, three people got of the vehicle. One man pushed the student to the ground and then got into the student's vehicle. The three suspects then fled the scene.

The suspects were described as three black men in their late teens or early twenties, driving a grey sedan. The student's vehicle was a white 2007 Lexus with the Louisiana license plate : SKX258.

The New Orleans Police Department and Tulane Police are investigating the matter.
