Student accused of repeatedly kicking teacher
BATON ROUGE - Authorities arrested a 17-year-old Baton Rouge student after school officials said she repeatedly kicked a teacher who tried to break up a fight.
Deputies arrested Raven Davis after the fight at Tara High School Tuesday and booked her into the parish jail on charges of battery and disturbing the peace.
Detectives said Davis and another student were fighting when the teacher tried to break them up. Instead, the teacher was knocked down or fell over, and authorities said Davis kicked the teacher repeatedly until deputies arrived.
According to an arrest affidavit, Davis told deputies she and the other student had been feuding for the past school year. Authorities said the two were involved in another fight in 2013 which included three other students.
