We begin this Monday Morning with mostly cloudy skies and it is very warm and muggy. Temperatures are in the upper 60s to lower 70s.
A weakening cold front will move into the Baton Rouge area today. It is forecast to stall over us, and that will bring numerous showers and thunderstorms over the city. Some of the storms could become strong to severe with gusty winds, heavy rain and some hail. A few inches of rain will be possible with some minor flooding. It will be warm before the rain starts with highs in the lower 80s.
The front will stay stalled over us tonight. This will allow for the heavy rain and thunderstorms to continue all night. Lows will be in the mid 60s.
Be sure to watch 2une In for all the details on our heavy rain event today and tomorrow!
