Stores lure shoppers from Thanksgiving dinner
BATON ROUGE - There's some backlash brewing against the mall crawl for holiday savings, but it didn't slow shoppers down.
Some were camped out at the Best Buy on Millerville since Wednesday afternoon awaiting the 6 p.m. opening of the store.
At the Best Buy near the Mall of Louisiana, Tyler Fontenot and Jason Fusilier were surprised they got a good spot in line when they showed up at 2 a.m. Thursday.
"I thought between 14-25 in line would be good space to be in. But nobody was out here, so we pitched a tent and stayed."
