Still not singing Kumbayah
LIVINGSTON- The first meeting of peacemakers didn't do enough to settle issues among leaders in Livingston Parish, it appears.
The drama, shouting, and hollering returned to Thursday night's council meeting a day after a special commission met for the first time to address such issues.
The council and parish president can't seem to get along and it is starting to hinder important parish business. One in particular, a road project to fix roads in the parish. The leaders have been bickering over who has the authority to pick a road engineer. The program is months behind schedule.
