Stevan Ridley ready to shine

After the Tiger offense continued to gain momentum, the Alabama defensive scouting report should get a little more complicated this week, thanks to the emergence of LSU's latest backfield weapon.

Stevan Ridley has waited all season for his chance, and if the Tulane game was a sign of things to come, Ridley will be a staple of the Tigers' running attack in the near future.

We know the usual suspects......Charles Scott, coming off a 100-yard game and two scores.....Jordan Jefferson and Russell Shepard, two duel threat quarterbacks who can also find the endzone. Even Trindon Holliday and Keiland Williams get their snaps, giving Gary Crowton has plenty to work with offensively

But late Saturday night, the future of the Tigers ground game took centerstage..Stevan Ridley's number 34 was called, and the sophomore delivered....8 carries, 73 yards and a touchdown.....Ridley has patiently waited for his time to shine, but now facing its toughest task of the season, the Tiger offense will plan to use ridley in the rotation, keeping the LSU backs fresh against the tide.

Ridley will play his role, limited or extensive, but this talented player knows that whatever experience he gains now will set the tone for future success.
