NEW ORLEANS - The memory of New Orleans-born singer, bandleader and trumpet player Louis Prima (PREE' mah) will be honored next month on Bourbon Street with the unveiling of a life-sized bronze statue.

The ceremony is set for December 4th, three days before the 100th birthday of Prima, who died in 1978.

Prima's statue is the latest addition to the New Orleans Musical Legends Park on Bourbon Street in the French Quarter.
