State Police to collect drugs Saturday
BATON ROUGE - Louisiana State Police will spend the weekend gathering medications as part of National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
The event is held in an effort to help residents safely dispose of prescription drugs from their homes.
Expired, unused, and unwanted medications can be dropped off Saturday from 10-2 p.m. at any troop locations. In Baton Rouge, collections will be taken at Troop A headquarters on Highland Rd.
Controlled, non-controlled and over-the-counter substances will be collected as well as liquid products, such as cough syrup. Illegal substances will not be accepted.
