Troopers said the man in the sketch was driving the vehicle a trooper pulled over when there was a struggle and the passenger in the stopped vehicle fired a shot. The trooper was not hit by the bullet, but was hit in the head with an unknown object.

The man authorities were able to sketch is believed to be in his early or late 20's and about 5'10" tall.

The vehicle involved in the situation was an older model, mid 1980's Chevrolet Caprice with no hood ornament, the paint was faded silver with primer on the hood, front left fender and the trunk. Troopers said the car had a temporary plate but the numbers were not visible through the rear window because of dark tint.
