State police now offer online crash photo ordering
BATON ROUGE - Louisiana State Police announced Thursday that the public now has the option to order crash photographs online at their website to make the process easier.
The photographs of crashes investigated by troopers can be ordered from the same page of the LSP website where crash reports are available for online ordering.
The person ordering the images must provide information including the driver or pedestrian's first and last name, parish of the crash and date of the incident.
State police do not offer online ordering for photographs or crash reports that involve fatalities. The images and reports can only be obtained by visiting the local Troop Office and filing special forms.
The images cost $10 each and are kept in the LSP database for five years after the crash.
Photographs can still be purchased by mail or phone. Anyone with questions about the new service can contact the LSP Photo Lab at (225) 925-3518.
