State Police focus on child safety seats

Parents can have their child's safety seat checked for proper installation today.
State Police will be conducting free inspections of car seats until 3:30 p.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Clinic on Goodwood Boulevard in Baton Rouge.
Trooper Russell Graham said 96 percent of child safety seats are not installed properly in Louisiana. He said if your child's car seat is installed improperly, you could be ticketed.
September is Child Passenger Safety Month.
