State offices in 19 parishes to close Feb. 11
BATON ROUGE - State offices in more than a dozen Louisiana parishes will close Tuesday due to more rain, sleet and ice in the forecast.
The Division of Administration said state offices in the following parishes would close Feb. 11 because of the hazardous forecast:
Avoyelles, Bienville, Caddo, Caldwell, Claiborne, East Carroll, Franklin, Grant, Jackson, Lincoln, Madison, Morehouse, Ouachita, Rapides, Richland, Union, Vernon, Webster, and West Carroll
Governor Bobby Jindal declared a state of emergency Monday to help get resources to the parishes that need them ahead of the wintry weather. State officials said they would continue to monitor conditions and update the list as needed.
