BATON ROUGE - The Department of Children and Family Services launched a new website today to help find parents who owe child support.

The site gives access to the 53,000 delinquet parents by first or last name, city, amount owed and parish where their court-ordered support was established.

According to DCFS, Louisiana has $1.2 billion in total unpaid child support claims, about half of which are estimated to come from delinquent parents.

You can search the database at the DCFS website.

News 2's Ashley Rodrigue will have more on how the site works tonight on News 2 at 10.
