La. receives first shipment of H1N1 vaccine

The first shipments of the H1N1 vaccinations are now arriving in Louisiana.
The Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals confirmed this morning that about 50 pediatric offices are receiving the initial shipments. The vaccines will mostly be available for target groups over the next few weeks. Target groups include health care and emergency workers, children and young adults, and pregnant women.
State health leaders said vaccines should be available to the general public by mid-December. Health leaders also said there's been no indication of problems from taking the seasonal vaccine and the H1N1 vaccine.
