Abita Springs, LA- The State Fire Marshal's Office is currently investigating a fire that has been ruled intentional at a church in Abita Springs.

The fire happened shortly before noon on Tuesday at the New Hope Baptist Church in Abita Springs.

When firefighters arrived, they found the sanctuary on fire, but was under control within a few minutes.

No one was hurt in the blaze.

Anyone with any information on who may be responsible for this fire, is urged to call the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office.
