State AGs ask feds for help on oil spill damages

The attorneys general of five states threatened by the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico are asking
President Obama for federal help in preparing assessments of the damage from the oil spill.
Under federal law, responsible parties also have unlimited liability for clean-up costs.
