The police standoff with a man in a home on Goodwood Boulevard near S. Flannery Road lasted for nearly five hours.

The standoff ended before 1 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Police have not released any immediate details, but there was a reported shooting, then the gunman holed himself up in a home, possibly holding hostages.

No word on any injuries or an arrest.
