Stage set for Miss USA
BATON ROUGE- The River Center was transformed into a technical wonderland and it came alive Wednesday night for the prelims of Miss USA.
The 51 contestants introduced themselves and modeled gowns and swimwear. The events of the night will help decide the top 15 contestants who will perform live during the telecast Sunday.
Wednesday evening also provided a first look at the stage, which showcases Louisiana. Much of the background is a projection, that changes from visuals of Louisiana to a ballroom setting with chandeliers.
The River Center underwent a $1.2 million renovation in advance of the presentation.
