Stage set for LSU to have a big National Signing Day
BATON ROUGE- In a few hours the LSU football team will find out what players it has to work with next season.
Colleges across the country will spend the entire day tracking prospective players, hoping their program ends up at the top of the players list.
Many college football analysts are expecting 2016 to be a big year for LSU. Almost two-dozen high school seniors are expected to become tigers today. Three of them are from the capital area: Donavaughn Campbell of Ponchatoula High School, Caleb Roddy of Denham Springs and Lindsey Scott of Zachary.
Nearly 70 high schoolers around Baton Rouge will sign to various schools and programs today.
Southern University is also looking to secure an impressive class hoping to rebound from 2015's 6-5 season.
