BATON ROUGE – Judges determined that District Attorney Hillar Moore is the best at Thanksgiving turkey carving.

Moore's carving skills won out over Baton Rouge Police Chief Carl Dabadie, Constable Reginald Brown, Sheriff Sid Gautreaux, LSU Gymnastics head coach D.D. Breaux and Councilwoman Tara Wicker at St. Vincent de Paul's seventh anual turkey carving contest.

The event took place Wednesday afternoon at the St. Vincent de Paul dining room located at 220 St. Vincent de Paul Place. The organization will also serve a Thanksgiving meal in the dining room from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday.
