BATON ROUGE - Holidays always mean helping the less fortunate have a Merry Christmas too, that's why volunteers at St. Vincent de Paul handed out hundreds of meals to the needy in Baton Rouge this Christmas Eve.
Happy eaters got to sit down at a restaurant-style table and enjoy a hot Christmas meal.
Jerry Adams surely enjoyed his meal. "You don't have to go to the table and get it. It's brought to you. It's like home service."
The Salvation Army also served meals to many needy people in the city today.
St. Vincent de Paul will of course serve dinner again tomorrow.
