St. Thomas More teacher accused of sex with student
LAFAYETTE - A St. Thomas More High School teacher has been arrested, accused of having sex with a student.
The Advertiser reports 27-year-old Joshua Krieg, of Lafayette, was booked Wednesday for carnal knowledge of a juvenile. Bond was set at $40,000. It was unknown if he has an attorney.
Lafayette Police Cpl. Paul Mouton says Krieg was questioned after the victim's parents complained he was having an inappropriate relationship with their daughter. Krieg, in the arrest affidavit, says he's in love with the 14-year-old girl and admits to having sex with her three separate times at his Lafayette home.
Rev. Richard Greene of the Diocese of Lafayette says Krieg was hired to fill in for a teacher on maternity leave. He says Krieg is on administrative leave pending the investigation's conclusion.
