St. Tammany Parish opens freeze shelters

Officials in Saint Tammany Parish, along with the American Red Cross, are opening a couple of shelters tonight, due to the expected freezing temperatures.
The shelters are located at the First Baptist Church in Mandeville, and Northside Baptist Church in Slidell.
The National Weather Service warns that an arctic air mass could bring temperatures into the low twenties across St. Tammany Parish.
The shelters will open at 7 p.m. tonight.
