St. Jude's J.J. Walker celebrating impossible birthday
ST. FRANCISVILLE - J.J. Walker, a St. Jude patient who captured the hearts of the Baton Rouge area during his treatment and multiple television appearances, graduated elementary school and will spend the summer preparing for middle school in the fall.
"I'm very thankful to God that He allowed J.J. to be here to walk across the stage and to get his graduation certificate," his mom, Denise, said. Doctors did not expect J.J. to survive as long as he has.
In addition to graduating, he also celebrated his birthday recently. He turned 12-years-old and said his wish was to be healthy.
"To be cancer free and to have a house," he said.
J.J. has been very involved in WBRZ's annual Dream Home Giveaway, which is less than a month away. Click HERE to learn more about the 2015 Dream Home and watch the attached video for more about J.J. and 2 Make A Difference.
