St. Jude Dream Home Open House scheduled
BATON ROUGE - Open House events for the 2014 St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway will be held on weekends from May 31 to June 15 as the drawing for the home nears.
This year's prize home was built by Alvarez Construction and estimated to be valued at $400,000. Located in Carriagewood Estates in Baton
Rouge, the single-family home is 2,700 square feet with four bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, den and formal dining room.
The event provides an opportunity for guests to see the surrounding neighborhood and floor plan, and reserve a $100 ticket for the chance to win the St. Jude Dream Home, according to a St. Jude spokesperson.
Open House visitors can also register for free to win a $5,000 dollar prize courtesy of The UPS Store while they are viewing the house.
The St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway is a 23-year tradition that is now one of the largest single-event fundraisers for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
nationwide. All proceeds from ticket sales go to St. Jude's to help fund their efforts to treat and defeat childhood cancer.
The home is located at 18130 Vis-A-Vis Ave. in Baton Rouge and the Open House events will be held on Saturday and Sundays from May 31 to June 15. The Saturday events run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.
