St. Gabriel Mayor George Grace tells News 2's Mike Steele that he is under a federal investigation.

Grace would not give many details about the investigation but did say the feds have asked for city records involving the Cifer 5000 product.

Grace says any other information will have to come from his lawyer, Lewis Ungelsby.

Earlier today, White Castle's mayor and police chief were indicted by a federal grand jury on dealings regarding the Cifer 5000 product. Also indicted was the Mayor of New Roads, Thomas Nelson.

Port Allen Mayor Derek Lewis confirmed to News 2's Mike Steele that he is a target of a federal investigation regarding the Cifer 5000. Lewis said the city has not contracts with the company, but there were previous talks.

A West Baton Rouge Parish official told News 2 the Port Allen Police Chief Fred Smith is also part of the probe.
