The Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office has arrested the woman accused of crashing her car and killing her passenger on March 11.

Aimee White of St. Amant was booked Friday after she was treated for the injuries suffered in the accident. She faces charges of vehicular homicide, DWI, careless operation and having an open container.

The accident happened shortly before 12:30 a.m. on La. 63, west of Renniger Road.

State Police said White was headed east when she ran off the road and hit a culvert, causing the car to flip. White's passenger, John Thompson of Walker, was not buckled and died at the scene.

Troopers said White was impaired and was arrested, but she was taken to the hospital for treatment.
