LUTCHER - The St. Amant Gators handed Lutcher its first loss of the season, beating the Bulldogs 31-28.
The game was back-and-forth the whole way, with the Bulldogs striking first, but the Gators quickly responding with a Ethan Babin touchdown catch from Tyler Dixon to tie the score at 7.
Dixon then threw a 75 yard touchdown pass to Briggs Bourgeois, although Bourgeois did most of the work with a long run after the catch to make the score 14-7.
The Bulldogs rallied with a Jontre Kirklin touchdown pass to Gavin Englade that tied the score at 14, but Lutcher fell short as they fall to 3-1 on the season. The Gators (3-1) have now won 3 straight after dropping their season-opener.
