BATON ROUGE - Springfield's mayor and police chief are scheduled to be in court to face charges they conspired to hide a woman's DWI citation, according to the state attorney general's office.

A grand jury indicted Mayor Charles Martin and Police Chief James Jones on charges of obstruction of justice, criminal conspiracy to obstruct justice, injuring public records, and criminal conspiracy to injure public records.

The two pleaded "not guilty" to the charges back in August.
