The Southern Lab Kittens are loaded for the 2015 season, making it an ideal situation for a first year head coach.

Marcus Randall is that first year head coach who has 17 returning starters from a state finals appearance in Division 4 just last year.

Randall comes over after serving as the offensive coordinator for his older brother Eric Randall at Scotlandville, replacing the departed Nick Mitchell who is now at Port Allen.

The Kittens have senior quarterback Bladerick Veals leading the offense and Randall says the team will move to a more multiple offense and away from some of their spread principles.

The defense will continue to be an even front, adjusting to the offenses they play if they need to bring another man down in the box.

The Kittens also have a challenging schedule as they are set to face University High in week two and then travel to IMG Academy in Florida for week six.
