Sports2-a-Days Preview: Livonia Wildcats
The Livonia Wildcats were one win away from their first ever school title, but now in 2014 they're busy rebuilding with new players and a new coach.
Guy Mistretta takes over for the departed David Brewerton and the Wildcats inherit roughly 15 players from the new closed Pointe Coupee Central High School. That addition of talent as well as eight starters back have the Wildcats optimistic about their chances at making another deep playoff run.
Three returning offensive linemen as well as H-Back Barrick Slaughter will be back to pace an offense that is still looking for it's signal caller amongst three different potential quarterbacks.
On defense, two on the line and two in the secondary will lead the way. CB Deonte Bridgewater, SS Malcolm Dedrick and DE Willie Baker are potential college prospects that will carry the torch for that side of the ball.
