Sports 2-A-Days: Baker
BAKER - Sandwhiched between Scotlandville and Zachary, the Baker Buffalos are trying one again to establish an identity as a force to be reckoned with, starting with district 3-7A.
The Buffalos went 1-9 in 2012, the first year under head coach Richard Oliver, but improved to 3-7 last year and with 13 returning starters, Oliver hopes his team can continue to make strides.
The Buffalos have 7 starters back on offense, 6 on defense and they'll be strengthened by a lot of leadership at the defensive line and quarterback position.
Numbers overall are still down and depth will be an issue, but if his players stay healthy, Baker fans could see more improvement in 2014.
