Needy families in Delaware can thank a crash between a train and a truck hauling potatoes for some of the food on their tables. The crash happened in Milford and the potatoes were put into a dump truck after they spilled. The state transportation department didn't want them to go to waste, so it contacted the Food Bank of Delaware which accepted the offer immediately. Volunteers removed the damaged ones and the rest went to the agency's 440 relief partners statewide.
