Sperm bank sued over donor
ATLANTA, GEORGIA- A sperm bank says a lawsuit which accuses it of misrepresenting a donor is baseless and it has no control over information provided by the man.
Xytex Corp. was sued by Angela Collins and Margret Hanson who claim sperm bank employees talked up the donor, saying he was smart, healthy and mature. But they claim in their suit the donor was schizophrenic, dropped out of college and had been arrested for burglary.
Xytex says it interviewed the donor about health an did a medical exam and it can't be held liable for unverified medical and social history provided by the donor.
