PLAQUEMINE - Deputies say one man is in custody after he lead officers on a high speed chase for 32 miles on I-10 through Baton Rouge Sunday night.

According to the Iberville Parish Sheriff's Office, the chase ended in Denham Springs and Raymond Williams is in custody.

An Iberville Parish deputy noticed William's speeding, and tried to pull him over on Belleview Road in Plaquemine. Deputies say they witnessed Williams nearly lose control of his vehicle, taking a turn commonly known as "The Millie Curve"

Williams fled through Plaquemine into Addis and West Baton Rouge Parish, and got onto I-10 at the Mississippi River Bridge.

Deputies chased him down the interstate past the I10/I12 split. Near the O'Neal exit on I12, one of the tires on Williams car blew out, and he coasted to a stop near the Range Road exit.

Williams  is being held as a fugitive from Iberville Parish, and will be extradited there, according to the Iberville Parish Sheriff's Office.

When Williams is back in Iberville Parish, deputies say he will be charged with reckless operation, aggravated flight, and DWI.
