Special email allows state workers to share thoughts on gov't efficiency
BATON ROUGE- State workers are being asked to share their opinions on making Louisiana state government more efficient.
Republican State Representative John Schroder (Covington) is asking for thoughts on a special email. It is suggestionbox(at)legis.la.gov.
Schroder is a member of the House Appropriations Committee, which is combing through the governor's budget proposal for the upcoming fiscal year that begins July 1. He said employees know best about the inner workings of state agencies and that no one could offer more insight than they can.
The statement advises that state workers must offer their suggestions on their own time and with their own computers, not during their work hours.
