Sparks fly at special meeting in Sorrento
SORRENTO - Sparks flew in Sorrento Saturday morning at a special meeting to decide the future of the Sorrento Police Department.
Council members tabled discussions until Nov. 19 -- the same day the police department's current liability insurance ends.
The town currently has one insurance quote on the table and another offer from the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office. Saturday's special meeting left residents and council members upset after the actions of Sorrento Mayor Mike Lambert.
News 2's Troy Gaulden will have more on WBRZ tonight.
