Spanish Town Mardi Gras parade moves start time
BATON ROUGE - The start time of tomorrow's Spanish Town Mardi Gras Parade has been pushed back from noon.
Parade organizers said they are now scheduled to roll at 4 p.m.
Bruce Childers, a parade organizer, said the city and police gave them a window to start between 3:30 and 4 p.m., and that they plan to roll at 4.
News 2 Chief Forecaster Pat Shingleton said the time change is due to heavy rain that is predicted for noon tomorrow.
For more information about the parade, visit the Spanish Town Mardi Gras Parade's website. Childress will also be live on News 2 at Noon to discuss their decision.
