Southern University holds bone marrow drive
BATON ROUGE - Students at Southern University helped to get more people signed up as bone marrow donors Monday.
Student nurses took mouth swabs to enter participants in the donation registry.
Organizers say high rates of cancer, and the lack of African American donors, makes the effort necessary.
